NCOHF Board of Directors Welcomes New Slate of Officers

Charlotte, NC - September 7, 2010 – National Children’s Oral Health Foundation: America’s Toothfairy (NCOHF) announced the election of a new slate of officers and welcomed new Board member Martha Ann Keels, DDS, PhD, at its quarterly meeting on August 27, 2010.

The NCOHF slate of officers is as follows:

Heraeus teams with the L.D. Pankey Foundation

Heraeus teams with the L.D. Pankey Foundation to Provide Free Oral Health Services to the Underserved in South Bend, Indiana 

SOUTHBEND, IN, August 31September 1, 2010—Heraeus Kulzer, LLC, the worldwide leader in dental esthetics, recently hosted an outreach program to provide free oral health services to those without access to dental care. The program was a joint effort between Heraeus and the L.D. Pankey Foundation, a nonprofit organization based in Key Biscayne, Florida.

The 2-day clinic, entitled “Pankey Dental Access Days,” was held on August 13 – 14, 2010 at Heraeus’ Educational Facility, located on the Heraeus campus, 300 Heraeus Way, South Bend.

Schools Play A Role In Keeping Kids’ Mouths Healthy, Say Parents

CHICAGO, September 1, 2010—Two-thirds (65%) of parents are looking to schools to help reinforce the importance of oral health, saying it is extremely or very important for schools to teach children about taking care of their teeth, according to a new public opinion survey commissioned by Oral Health America.
