Victim of Defunct Allcare Dental Chain Is Now Smiling

WESTLAND, Mich., Feb. 8, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Dr. Bruce Smoler was spurred to take action and offer his help after a recent "tragedy" in which New York-based Allcare Dental suddenly and unexpectedly closed its doors at each of their 52 locations (10 of which were in Michigan) on January 1, leaving patients without access to records, follow-up care and treatment.

The ADA offers free downloadable oral health informationfor parents and teachers to provide fun tools to promote the benefits of good oral health to children. Clinic and Research Day at University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry

Clinic and Research Day at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) College of Dentistry was postponed because of the nationwide snowstorm on Feb. 2. It has been rescheduled for Thursday, March 10, 2011.
For the 24th year the College, located at 801 S. Paulina St., will take on the appearance of a national dental meeting all day, as the event will run from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and focus on student research presentations, Critically Appraised Topic competitions based on actual cases, and an internationally known keynote speaker.
