TRUMPF Names New Leaders for Automation, Software, and Additive Manufacturing Divisions

TRUMPF Inc., a high-tech company offering manufacturing solutions in machine tools and laser technology, has announced the following promotions: Claudio Santopietro to head of smart factory consulting & automation, Kevin Cuseo to head of software sales, Julian Schorpp to product manager for automated bend products, and Adam Simons to head of additive manufacturing for TRUMPF in North America.

With 30 years of industry experience, Claudio Santopietro has served as software sales engineer and software solutions sales manager for TRUMPF Inc.’s software group for the last five years. In his new role, Santopietro will assume responsibility for TRUMPF’s Smart Factory Consulting and Automation group in North America and will manage project proposals. Santopietro is based at TRUMPF’s Chicago-area Smart Factory in Illinois, an internationally recognized center for Industry 4.0 and automated, connected manufacturing.

Kevin Cuseo will become the new software sales manager for North America. He will be responsible for all TRUMPF programming and production software products, including Oseon, Boost, and TRUMPF Flux, for sheet metal processing. Cuseo has been on the TRUMPF software team for most of his thirteen years at the company, serving first on the support side and then as part of software sales.

Julian Schorpp has been promoted to the role of product manager for automated bending products after managing projects for more than a decade. Schorpp has been with TRUMPF for five years and was previously a sales engineer supporting TRUMPF’s automated bending products, such as the TruBend Center and Flex Cell, at the TRUMPF Inc. Smart Factory in Illinois.

Adam Simons was named head of additive manufacturing for North America. Over the past fourteen years, including three working with the TRUMPF Laser Application Technology Center in Michigan, Simons has built expertise in technology sales and TRUMPF’s full line of TruPrint additive manufacturing products that use laser powder bed-based fusion for a variety of applications, from prototype manufacturing to industrial series production.
