The New Hampshire offices of a dental chain will never get the chance to perform the work they allegedly claimed they would do but never completed.
Robert Bates, the president of Allcare Dental, was stripped of his license in New Hampshire. The ruling stems from Allcare Dental’s sudden closing in 13 states last year.
Authorities received more than 140 complaints from patients, including some patients who paid for work they never received. Allcare abruptly closed its two New Hampshire offices last year, just as it suddenly closed offices in other states. Some patients even had teeth extracted but never received the permanent dentures they were promised.
Bates dealt with a disciplinary hearing in New Hampshire despite never working in the state. He said he would give up his license and even admitted that Allcare did not provide patients with any knowledge that the company would be shutting down. The patients also received no help once the company’s doors were closed.
Allcare also had offices in Illinois, Iowa, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nebraska, New York, North Dakota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, West Virginia and Wisconsin.
