Medicom Donation to National Children’s Oral Health Foundation Affiliate Network

(Charlotte, July 13, 2013) –  With generous funding from Medicom®, National Children’s Oral Health Foundation: America’s ToothFairy®/Canada’s ToothFairy (NCOHF) has awarded two grants totaling $17,000 to members of its Affiliate Network to access to vital oral health services for at-risk children.  Grant recipients include A.T. Still University dba Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health in Mesa and Sonrisas Dental Center, located in Half Moon Bay, California. 

“We are honored to receive the Medicom America’s ToothFairy Grant,” said Yvette Thornton, RDH, BS, A.T. Still University dba Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health.  “This support will help us raise awareness and meet the growing need for children’s oral health services in our community.”

Formed in the U.S. in 2006, as a collaborative effort of clinicians, academicians and corporate leaders, NCOHF is dedicated to eliminating children’s preventable suffering from pediatric dental disease by providing programs and comprehensive resources to deliver community-based critical preventive, educational and treatment services.  Recognizing the mouth is the gateway to the body, NCOHF, also known as America’s ToothFairy® in the U.S., supports the delivery of oral health education and care beginning at the prenatal level.  Now extending services in Canada as Canada’s ToothFairy, NCOHF is reaching children throughout North America.  Through the generosity of dedicated supporters like Medicom, NCOHF: America’s ToothFairy/Canada’s ToothFairy has reached millions of children through its national non-profit clinical network and volunteer professional and student community service programs.
