The dental career of Alex Williams, DDS, began when he decided to work part-time for Aspen Dental after graduating in 2014 from the Oklahoma University College of Dentistry. He loved the experience so much, he walked away from a 50% stake in his family’s traditional private practice to take a full-time position with Aspen Dental. He was able to hone his clinical skills and became the owner of the Aspen Dental practice in Tulsa less than a year after joining the dental support organization (DSO).

“Dentistry for me is an art, but it is also my passion,” Williams said. “Before starting college at Northeastern State University, I was offered a scholarship for fine arts. Although I declined the offer, I still wanted my career to involve my hands, creative mind, and artistic abilities. A career in dentistry has given me that opportunity.”

With the support of Aspen Dental Management, the DSO that supports every Aspen Dental practice, Williams found it easier to grow both as a dentist and as a business owner. He’s able to own multiple practices while focusing on what he enjoys most: engaging patients, creating comprehensive treatment plans based on their needs, and mentoring new dentists.
