Astronaut Garrett E. Reisman, PhD, will be the keynote speaker at the 7th Annual LANAP Study Club, scheduled for September 8, 2017, at the Boston Marriott Long Wharf in Massachusetts. He will address the role that innovation plays in the advancement of technology.
Selected by NASA as a mission specialist in 1998, Reisman completed his first spaceflight in 2008. He has logged more than 107 days in space on 2 different missions. Also, he has taken 3 different spacewalks over 21 hours outside of the Space Shuttle and in operating the Space Station Robotic Arm. He now is director of space operations for SpaceX.
“Dr. Reisman is the perfect person to set the tone for this year’s LANAP Study Club,” said Dawn Gregg, DDS, training director of the Institute for Advanced Laser Dentistry. “The cornerstone of space exploration is to aim for the stars and broaden the horizons of what is feasible. Similarly, the LANAP protocol does for dentistry what was previously thought to be impossible—regrow bone.”

The meeting is open to all LANAP clinicians, with 8 hours of continuing education credits available. Early bird registration is open through August 25.
