Extending Septodont’s bone grafting material line, the R.T.R. Absorbable Collagen Membrane is a white, compressed, nonfriable matrix fabricated from Type I collagen derived from bovine Achilles tendon. This is the purest form of bovine collagen, categorized by the World Health Organization as category IC. The membrane can be shaped and cut to size and is absorbable within 4 to 8 weeks. Since it is biocompatible, R.T.R. Absorbable Collagen Membrane is well-tolerated with no adverse healing effects, Septodont reports. It’s available in 2 sizes, including 15 x 20 mm and 20 x 30 mm.
