Blogging is an important part of your marketing strategy. It can give you an opportunity to establish yourself as an authority in your field. It can drive traffic to your website. If you’ve got writer’s block when it comes to blog topics, stress no more. Here are a few suggestions to get those words flowing in no time.
Use the Seasons For Inspiration
When you’re stumped for topic ideas, think of how seasons might affect the dental health of your patients and go from there. Possible subjects could include:
- Wearing mouthguards for fall sports;
- The dangers of sports drinks;
- How Halloween candy affects your teeth.
Include a Little Whimsy
Not all of your topics have to be serious. While you definitely want what you write to be related to dentistry, you can still have fun. For example:

Think Like a Patient
Sure, you might know everything about the anatomy of a tooth, but your patients don’t. Think about what topics might be particularly interesting or useful for them to know, such as:
- How to prevent periodontitis;
- Why orthodontic treatments are far more than cosmetic;
- Modeling good oral health habits for children.
These ideas should get you started. If you’re outsourcing your writing, make sure that your content is original and not templated. Don’t forget to include your practice name, location, and a call to action in each post, as well. Happy blogging!
