Ultradent will choose five recipients to receive an all-expense paid scholarship to its Icons of Dentistry: A Workshop for Women, June 22-23 at the company’s headquarters in South Jordan, Utah. The award will include round-trip coach airfare from cities in the United States to Salt Lake City, Utah, hotel accommodations for the duration of the workshop, and waived tuition. Attendees, including scholarship winners, will receive 16 continuing education credits. Winners will be notified by telephone call to their dental practice.
To submit a nomination, Ultradent is asking dental professionals to post on the Icons of Dentistry Facebook page or email shalyse.walker@ultradent.com identifying the female dentist they are nominating as well as a brief paragraph or two explaining why this woman should win based on her contributions to the profession, community involvement, philanthropy, or other qualities. Nominations will be accepted until April 15, 2018. Nominees must be female dentists licensed in the United States, age 18 and over. No purchase is necessary.
Icons of Dentistry: A Workshop for Women will feature women from the dental profession teaching classes and workshops on a variety of topics including work/life balance, practice building and management, aesthetic dentistry, and lasers. The keynote speaker will be announced later the month. Also, attendees will join Ultradent founder and CEO Dan Fischer, DDS, for dinner at his home. A cocktail social will provide opportunities for attendees and speakers to meet and network as well. Registration costs $99 through April 20 and $199 afterward.
