Unlike metal matrices, the clear Biofit matrices are engineered to maintain the ideal interproximal shape even after placement and manipulation, ensuring that the marginal ridge is curved and smooth immediately after matrix removal. Their Diamond Wedge design creates a complete gingival seal and provides strong separation without the struggle of traditional wedges, Bioclear reports. When used with the dual NiTi wire, TwinRing, the combination provides more than sufficient separation force for strong, broad contacts, the company says.
