The Owandy-CR2 intraoral imaging plate scanner from Owandy Radiology produces accurate images even at low radiation doses, while its specially engineered image filters deliver high-quality images with excellent contrast, according to the company. It is designed for endodontics, prosthetics, implantology, periodontics, orthodontics, and caries diagnosis.

Engineered for intuitive use, its sensors automatically detect the size and insertion direction of the plates being scanned. It was designed for proprietary use with Owandy plates and can scan sizes #0 (child), #1 (incisor block), #2 (adult), #3 (bitewing), and #4 (occlusal block). The Owandy-CR2 also is the smallest plate scanning system on the market, the company says, and it doesn’t have any complicated user interfaces or buttons.

Plus, the Owandy-CR2 offers optimized sensitivity as well as automatic wakeup and standby mode. Ethernet and USB versions are available. Regularly priced at $7,190, the Owandy-CR2 will be available for $6,490 during the 2019 Greater New York Dental Meeting.
