GC America has opened its new education center in Alsip, Illinois. Accommodating more than 200 associates, the cutting-edge facility comprises a seminar hall, training laboratory, and operatory, the company reports.
The grand opening included a traditional Shinto blessing and purifying ceremony, along with speeches from GC America executives, academic leaders, government representatives, and other associated partners.
“This is really a partnership of friendship, and friendship is actually one part of what defines us in terms of the excellence of our partnerships, and the kindness of the way we work as a team together for the very best in patient care,” said Dr. Clark Stanford, dean of the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry.
“Not only does our family of nakama(friends) get to work in a beautiful new space, this facility was created to unify our associates by bringing them under one roof,” said Dr. Kiyotaka Nakao, president and CEO of GC Corporation and GC International AG.
“We are exceptionally proud of our new state-of-the-art education center, which is the centerpiece of this new facility,” said Torsten Gilles, president of GC America, adding, “we will be able to provide dental professionals with the most advanced tools to meet their continuing education needs.”
The facility totals 53,374 square feet of office space with 10 conference rooms on two levels, including seminar rooms, research and development spaces, and 64,940 square feet of warehousing, allowing for manufacturing projects and the consolidation of associates at one location.
