The Carestream Dental CS 2400P handheld x-ray generator is designed to provide exceptional diagnostic images. Also, its battery-free recharging system can power the device from completely discharged to ready for operation in less than three minutes. It then can deliver multiple shots before needing to be recharged, which only takes seconds, the company said.
The CS 2400P’s exposure parameters are similar to those of a conventional generator (70 kV; 3.5 mA), so image quality is never sacrificed for portability, Carestream Dental said. Its short exposure time also reduces the risk of motion and improves sharpness, according to the company.
The sharp images produced by the CS 2400P lets clinicians confidently add capacity to their practice without concern that they will be trading convenience for quality, Carestream Dental said. The lightweight unit also is designed to free up wall space and give teams the flexibility to move between operatories.
