The Henry Schein Maxima Pro 2AR handpiece incorporates aerosol reduction and anti-retraction features, helping reduce the risk of viral and bacterial spread, according to the company.
The Maxima Pro 2AR reduces the emission of airborne particles by an average of more than 90% compared to typical high-speed air handpieces, Henry Schein said. Also, an active sealing system provides ant-retraction by helping prevent the suck-back of fluid and particles, reducing cross-contamination risks, the company said.

The Maxima Pro 2AR also maintains the enhanced ergonomic design of its predecessor, the Maxima Pro 2, Henry Schein said. Its all stainless-steel construction and high-strength alloy head are designed to enhance durability and resist dents, while the proprietary wear-resistant surface finish offers improved tactile grip.
Additionally, the small but powerful head provides 20 W as well as superior visibility and accessibility, Henry Schein said. The handpiece is available in both optic and non-optic models with the most popular connections.
