The Delta Dental Institute commended the U.S. House of Representatives for prioritizing oral health and oral health literacy with the passage of the Oral Health Literacy and Awareness Act of 2021.
Vivian Vasallo, Executive Director of the DDI, said:
“We are pleased to see the House make this bipartisan commitment to oral health and oral health literacy. The Delta Dental Institute has long advocated for both greater emphasis on oral health literacy and for the federal government to dedicate the resources necessary to advance Americans’ oral and overall health. The House’s vote in favor of the Act is an important first step for both, and the Delta Dental Institute will continue to advocate for progress in these critical areas.”
The Delta Dental Institute encourages the Senate to promptly take up the legislation.
