AACD Orlando 2022 Offers Fun Ways to Give Back

The AACD Charitable Foundation’s Give Back a Smile (GBAS) program connects adult survivors of domestic and/or sexual violence with dental injuries to volunteer cosmetic dentists who restore their smiles free of charge. AACD Orlando 2022, April 27-30, held at the Rosen Shingle Creek, is a key fundraising event for the program.

Topgolf Event

Don’t miss a golf experience like no other in support of GBAS at Topgolf Orlando on Thursday, April 28 at 7:30 pm. Attendees are welcomed to food and unlimited golf in climate-controlled hitting bays while rubbing elbows with colleagues and the AACD Charitable Foundation’s Give Back a Smile program’s top supporters.

Come out to TopGolf to celebrate the program’s accomplishments and to ensure GBAS can continue to rebuild the smiles and lives of adults who have suffered dental injuries from domestic violence.

Steps for Smiles

Even while AACD Orlando 2022 offers an amazing array of education and networking all under one roof, it will still be a great way to get your steps in as you move from session to session throughout the day. Why not track your steps and help survivors of domestic violence? Steps for Smiles Participants will track their steps from Thursday, April 28 through Friday, April 29 and the person with the most steps wins! Register early to receive an official Steps for Smile beach bag. All proceeds of Steps for Smiles will go to survivors through the GBAS program.

AACD Orlando 2022 attendees are welcomed to the exhibit area for the Give Back a Smile Charity Auction. Get great deals on dental products and services all while supporting GBAS.

The AACD Charitable Foundation’s flagship program, Give Back a Smile (GBAS) heals some of the most devastating effects of domestic and sexual violence, by restoring the smiles of adults who have received dental injuries from a former intimate partner, family member, or due to sexual assault. 

Since the program’s 1999 inception, AACD member dentists, dental laboratories, and other dental professionals have volunteered their time and expertise to restore the damaged smiles of nearly 2,000 people for a total dollar value of more than $18 million. There are currently around 140 people receiving smile restorations across the United States.
