The ADA Council on Dental practice is seeking nominations to add two representatives from the dental health and wellness community to its Dental Wellness Advisory Committee, which is in the process of expanding its health and wellness programs, for a three-year term.

Primarily focused on addiction and ergonomic issues, the committee now wants to explore nutrition, exercise, stress and burnout, mindfulness, and effective stress management. It hopes to find ADA members or non-dentist authorities with experience in these areas to help develop resources and provide guidance for members that cultivates a culture of wellness better aligned with their responsibilities as role models for their patients.

Applicants should send their CV and a statement of interest to Alison Bramhall, ADA manager of dentist health and wellness, at bramhalla@ada.org by July 8. Self-nominations are allowed. Those selected will be asked to attend annual in-person committee meetings, scheduled next for March 2020. Members of the committee also are expected to participate in conference calls as needed.
