MADISON, Wis. (2/3/13)—It’s difficult, and it’s life-changing, but Pinhas Adar, CDT, MDT, can tell you that completing the Accreditation process in the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD) is worth all of the hard work.

Adar has earned Accreditation in the AACD—an accomplishment completed by only 350 dental professionals to date–showcasing his commitment to excellence in the dental profession. Adar is also the first laboratory technician in Georgia to receive the AACD credential.

He reached this achievement after completing a rigorous credentialing process including a written examination, oral examination, and the submission of clinical cases for peer-reviewed evaluation.

Adar studied initially in Tel Aviv, Israel at Ort Yad Shapiro and then completed his internship with Mr. Willi Geller in Zurich, Switzerland. He returned to Israel to complete his Master Degree in Dental Technology. He has more than 36 years of experience in all phases of dental laboratory technology and has spent these years studying the secrets and principles of smile design and the impact of the psychological effects on consumers and has applied this knowledge in his own practice with extraordinary results.

He specializes in the many facets of porcelain esthetic restorations on both natural teeth and osseointegrated implants. For more than 20 years he operated his own private dental laboratory within the multidisciplinary practice of (Team Atlanta) Ronald Goldstein, David Garber and Maurice and Henry Salama. He now has a private practice where he practices, teaches and does research also in Atlanta.

The Accreditation process, which was developed by the AACD and is the world’s most recognized advanced credentialing program, encourages further education, interaction with like-minded colleagues, and the opportunity for professional growth. Accreditation requires dedication to continuing education and responsible patient care.

“We congratulate Mr. Pinhas Adar for achieving AACD Accreditation,” said Mr. Nelson Rego, CDT, chairperson for AACD Accreditation. “While the Accreditation process is rigorous, it’s the ultimate display of one’s skills and commitment to the field of cosmetic dentistry. Pinhas has what it takes to tackle the tough cases, and it shows.”

Adar will join 16 other newly-Accredited dental professionals on stage to receive their recognition and award at AACD 2013 in Seattle, April 24-27.
