INDIANAPOLIS, IN–(Marketwire – September 26, 2011) – AMD LASERS announced that its founder and president Alan Miller will be presenting at Dental Expo Russia 2011 Conference in Moscow, September 26-28, 2011.
Dental Expo is Russia’s largest dental exhibition each year, with more than 40,000 dental professionals from the region expected to attend. Mr. Miller’s presentation, which is titled "A New Era in Laser Dentistry," addresses how lasers can positively affect the lives of patients.
"I believe the biggest obstacle to laser dentistry has been price," said Miller. "Our vision is to make laser dentistry accessible, affordable, and available to dentists so they can help their patients."
Russia has 65,000 dentists serving approximately 144 million people. According to reports published in media outlets from the region, the country is investing in its healthcare and technology infrastructure. AMD LASERS received clearance to market and sell the Picasso laser in Russia in March 2011.
AMD LASERS received CE approval for the Picasso laser line in late 2009, and has already shipped Picasso lasers to over 55 countries around the world. Picasso shattered the price barrier when it was launched in March 2009 and quickly changed laser dentistry on a global scale.
