The Academy of Osseointegration (AO) 2021 Virtual Annual Meeting will be held March 12 through March 14. With 235 presentations on the schedule, participants can earn up to 55 hours of ADA-CERP credits.

The virtual format will enable live interaction in real time with plenary speakers following their presentations, AO said. Also, meeting content will be available to access through December 2021, including all live and on-demand recordings and corporate forums.

“Perhaps it is fitting or destiny that this year’s theme is ‘Game Changers,’ as certainly the Academy’s timely and prompt pivot to a virtual platform for the online delivery of this program is certainly a game changer,” said program chair Dr. E. Dwayne Karateew.

AO president Dr. Clark Stanford will moderate the opening session. Dr. Catherine Mohr, president of the Intuitive Foundation, manufacturer of the daVinci Surgical Robot, will provide the keynote address.

Educational tracks will focus on surgery, technology disruptors, aesthetics, complications, surgical complications, risk management, and the future of implant practice models. The meeting will spotlight nearly 130 e-posters and interactive video networking as well.
