Aspen Dental celebrated its twentieth anniversary at its annual Leadership Retreat in Chicago in August, where more than 500 dentists affiliated with the brand came together for a three-day event to review the state of the business, align on key priorities, and celebrate performance and achievement.
“By any measure, what we’ve achieved in partnership with Aspen Dental practice owners in our first two decades has been remarkable: 700 locations, nearly 1,000 affiliated dentists, close to 10,000 team members, and millions of patients served,” said Bob Fontana, founder, chairman, and CEO of Aspen Dental Management Inc.
During the retreat, former Apple and Tesla executive George Blankenship discussed the evolution of consumer brands, the disruption of unexpected industries, and the near future of the delivery of healthcare services, specifically dentistry, in his keynote address.
Aspen’s partnership with Align Technology also was discussed as Align vice president of strategic markets, business development, and education Frank Quinn spoke to attendees about how Align’s technology is impacting today’s dental patient. More than 300 dentists were certified on site to become Invisalign providers as well.
“Being on this journey with the dentists whose practices we support has been a joy and a privilege. I couldn’t be more proud of the organization we’ve built together or the opportunity that lies ahead,” Fontana said.
