What does “rich” mean to you?
When we think of being “rich,” our thoughts automatically go to a large bank account. However, there is much more than just that number to be truly rich in life. For example, is your current primary focus to get new patients in the door and keep your schedule full? If so, you are probably starting to feel tired of the daily grind, spending long hours behind the chair and dreaming of your next vacation—or retirement. Being “rich” entails so much more at this point.
5 Key Aspects of Truly Being Rich With Your:
1. Time
The clock keeps ticking, so having control over your time—or time autonomy—is a huge part of being rich in life. Instead of letting your schedule run you, what if you and your team required less time to achieve your stated goals and objectives?
When you have more time for yourself and your outside-the-practice interests, you have more time to become richer in life’s activities. Taking control of your time allows you to accelerate progress with fewer clinical hours or production days to achieve your goals. Efficiency is key.
2. Opportunity
You know there is more to life than getting the most out of your time each day.
You know there’s greater potential.
You know you’re not truly hitting your stride, reaching the top of the mountain, or finding your sweet spot.
Even if you have icing on the cake, whether you like icing or not, you want a lot of icing—profitability, control of your life.
If you’re reading this, there has to be only one reason: because you know there’s something greater available to you, your practice, your team, and your patients. You want to feel liberated, unburdened, and unshackled by your practice so you can pursue all of the opportunities life has to offer.
3. Practice
Part of being rich is having the practice of your dreams. I don’t know why you’d do anything differently, but I do know that most doctors are living beneath their dreams.
It’s time to think differently and step away from your current mindset and the status quo. Your practice should be a source of richness… not one of dread, anxiety, and stress.
Your life shouldn’t fit into the practice. Your practice should fit into your life.
4. Leadership
Probably the second or third biggest request I get is to help doctors have more leadership and establish a more positive attitude. They lead by example, as managers empowering people.
Once you understand this and take a different perspective on your practice, you’ll grow and experience the riches of being a good leader.
5. Peace of Mind
Peace of mind matters. We always say, “It’s not about how much money you make, it’s about how you make the money,” because you can’t sacrifice your peace of mind. It’s just that simple. Living a life with uncertainty, worry, and doubt is really not ideal. It keeps you from being who you are.
The Importance of Prosperity
These five traits are all important aspects of being rich. However, you cannot have any of them without financial prosperity. Yes, having a lot of money in that bank account is essential, but only because it supports everything else.
It’s very simple. A prosperous practice is one that serves patients well. A struggling practice is not serving patients well. It’s all about the perspective of your practice.
If you have a thriving practice financially, is there any price you can put on the health of a patient?
Is there any price you can put on saving them from future disease?
Is there any price you can put on the satisfaction, self-worth, personal fulfillment, and gratification of giving a patient their smile—and, with it, their life—back?
There is no such price.
You deserve as much as possible, as much as can be created out of your practice.
The amount of money invested by your patients reflects the value they place on the care you provide. You’re no different; no one is any different. The investment of money you put into yourself is the number one indicator of values, satisfaction, and fulfillment. It’s time for a shift in mindset for your next breakthrough.
Your rich life awaits! Are you ready?
