Great Place to Work and Fortune have named Benco Dental one of their 2018 Best Workplaces in Health Care & Biopharma. The ranking considered input from more than 95,000 employees in the healthcare, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical sectors. Benco Dental, the largest privately owned dental distributor in the United States, was nineteenth on the list.
Great Place to Work, a research and consulting firm, evaluated more than 50 factors. These included employee pride in the organization’s community impact, belief that their work makes a difference, and feeling that their work has special meaning. Rankings are based on employee experiences regardless of who they are or what they do.
“It’s an honor for Benco Dental to be selected for this impressive list of the best companies in healthcare,” said George Rable, vice president of culture and people at Benco Dental. “This is the third year in a row Benco has been recognized, with this being our highest ranking yet! When you hire top-flight associates, they work well together to ensure happy customers.”
Last year, Benco Dental reviewed more than 23,000 job applications and hired 253 associates. Once associates join the company, Benco Dental says that it makes every effort to retain them. For example, it says that its Wellness Programs continue to be successful, resulting in associates having no increase in their payroll deductions for two of the past three years.
