Bio-Research Associates, Inc. develops and produces highly innovative and advanced products for the evaluation of dysfunction in the temporomandibular joint, the craniofacial musculature and the overall stomatognathic system. Using "State of the Art" electronic technologies and sophisticated software development techniques, BioResearch creates unparalleled products, such as our 8 channel BioEMG II electromyograph, that combines remarkable simplicity with unsurpassed performance. Or, the BioJVA (Joint Vibration Analysis) System, which provides a unique capability to quickly, inexpensively and non-invasively evaluate temporomandibular joint injuries, internal derangements and degenerative conditions.

Although we are currently the oldest corporation in the neuromuscular dental instrumentation business, Bio-Research was originally founded for the express purpose of developing the "WaterPik." Subsequently, we have been involved in a wide range of important clinical research and new product development activities. Another one of our more recent developments is the JT-3D magnetic jaw tracker, which is used to evaluate masticatory function and objectively measure treatment outcome.

In January 2001 BioResearch began to market the BRAND NEW BioEMG II and BioJVA amplifiers. The BioEMG II is the first dental EMG available designed with "Touchless Leads" in conformance with the international standard IEC-60601-1, subclause 56.3(c). The BioJVA amplifier has established a new standard for noise rejection in a solid state TM Joint Vibration Amplifier.

When it comes to muscle relaxation, the BioTENS delivers both maximum comfort to the patient and firm control to the dentist. The patented circuitry and design of the BioTENS provides precise stimulation with differential balance control that is not available from other older technologies.

On August 22nd, 2006 the we released the QuadraTENS Model QT-42 for commercial distribution. This new four-lead, Ultra-low frequency TENS device is the culmination of more than a decade of sophisticated research and development efforts on the part of BioResearch and consultants. While the QuadraTENS appears to be 2 BioTENS in one package, it is really a lot more. That is because it includes a Burst mode and precise synchronization of its outputs that eliminates cross-talk between channels. The bottom line is that the QuadraTENS is a remarkably effective device that you really have to experience to appreciate.

If the ability of your patients to masticate is important to you, the Maruyama Mastication Module is a software module, available as an option in the BioPAK (JT-3) program that can help you. This unique software module can help you detect masticatory disturbances that are commonly overlooked by less sophisticated jaw tracking systems.
