The first digitally connected product from Philips Oral Healthcare designed specifically for adults, the Sonicare FlexCare Platinum Connected features Bluetooth wireless technology to allow patients to brush smarter. When connected to the smartphone app, brushers can get complete feedback on their brushing technique, as well as personalized coaching, tips, and alerts. And of course, the patented sonic technology removes up to 10 times more plaque than a manual toothbrush.

Users will benefit from the 3-D Mouth Map, which provides full visibility of “trouble spots” to help them maintain their home care routine. And of note for clinicians, patients can share their progress with their dentist through the app (free from Apple or Google Play). This addresses the desire that most dentists have to follow up with patients more than just every 6 or 12 months.

The AdaptiveClean Brush Head is the only power toothbrush head with flexible rubberized sides, which allow bristles to conform to the shape of the teeth and gums. The customized brushing system comprises 3 brushing modes at 3 different levels of intensity, offering 9 personalized brushing experiences. Users can select one of the following modes: clean (a thorough everyday clean), white (to remove surface stains to brighten teeth), or deep clean (for an exceptional clean in hard-to-reach areas) at 3 different levels, depending on their needs.

The Smart Sensor technology tracks daily brushing habits and displays and stores data for immediate and historical review. Location sensors show where users are brushing too much or too little for better coverage and plaque removal, motion sensors analyze scrubbing for optimized technique and a deeper clean, and pressure sensors track brushing pressure and alerts when and where too much pressure is applied to protect gums. And finally, the SmartTimer ensures that users are brushing for the ADA-recommended 2 minutes.
