The latest edition of Glidewell Dental’s Chairside magazine features an interview with Justin Chi, DDS, CDT, director of clinical technologies at the company and a key opinion leader behind the launch of the glidewell.io In-Office Solution. The new chairside ecosystem is designed to make one-appointment dentistry and other CAD/CAM restorative services simple and affordable for dental practices.
“Conventional in-office systems typically require the dentist to sinter the zirconia in an oven, but with the glidewell.io solution, we give clinicians the ability to mill a precise-fitting BruxZir Solid Zirconia crown in less than 45 minutes—no oven required,” said Chi. “The ability to offer extremely strong restorations directly in-office is a huge advantage. It benefits the patient’s health and saves the doctor valuable chair time.”
The magazine also provides a first look at a transformative aesthetic service developed using new technology that will launch later this year. Developed with the company’s president and CEO, the Jim Glidewell Signature Anterior Series will offer six design options that dentists will have at their disposal to provide their patients with natural-looking crowns, bridges, and veneers.
