In America today, millions of kids lack access to dental care. When kids don’t have healthy smiles, they have difficulty eating, sleeping, and concentrating at school. Their poor oral health contributes to a lifetime of hardship as kids grow into unhealthy adults with low self-image and limited job opportunities.
No child should suffer from tooth decay.
America’s ToothFairy improves the lives of children through Bid For Smiles, an online charity auction that helps increase access to dental care for children who have difficulty accessing dental services. Dental practices are invited to register at BidForSmiles.org to bid on dental products and equipment, with starting bids set at steep discounts.
Proceeds help provide resources to nonprofit dental organizations like Via Care Community Health Center in Los Angeles, CA. “Many of the children in our community are from low-income households and they have limited access to dental care and education,” said Tiffany Liu, Development Associate for Via Care. “America’s ToothFairy has been instrumental in allowing us to provide dental services and resources to children who would have otherwise not received the care and support.”
Most items up for bid include discounts of up to 50% off retail prices, and include:
- Zoll Defibrillator AED Plus Packagedonated by Patterson Dental Supply
- Tornado X LK Air Turbine donated by Bien-Air
- MidMark M3 Steam Sterilizer donated by MidMark
- 11” iPad Pro donated by Darby Dental Supply
- VALO Grand Red Rock Curing Light donated by Ultradent
- An assortment of products from Pac-Dent, and much more!
The online auction will be held September 6-10th. To register as a bidder, visit BidForSmiles.org.
Additional items are still being accepted and added daily. To learn more about becoming a sponsor or donating an auction item, contact Jill Malmgren at jmalmgren@ncohf.org or call 704-965-2070.
