The Charlotte clinic is part of an ongoing partnership between Dentsply Sirona and TeamSmile to ensure that underprivileged children have access to much-needed dental care. More than 200 children got cleaning and work done, including eight children who needed a tooth extraction. A number of Dentsply Sirona employees participated in the event, welcoming the children and keeping them calm and entertained as they waited for their check-ups.
Working together to make children smile
Dentsply Sirona recognizes that oral health is central to every person’s overall health, happiness, and well-being.
Dentsply Sirona’s partnership with TeamSmile began in 2017 when the company participated in a local Charlotte event. Since then, Dentsply Sirona has expanded its support to become a national partner, providing financial support, donated equipment and consumables, and on-the- ground volunteer support at events.
In 2021, Dentsply Sirona donated 12 Nupro Freedom prophy handpieces to TeamSmile after the organization’s previous set was lost in the mail. These units were set up at all hygiene stations so that all children who visit the clinic can have their teeth polished.

TeamSmile plans to hold another clinic event with the Carolina Panthers in March 2022.
