Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co, has announced the sale of Durban Dental Centre in East Sussex.
Durban Dental Centre is a high-quality seven-surgery practice comprising a mix of general and specialist income. It occupies a large prominent plot close to the centre of town in the affluent market town of Crowborough, East Sussex.
The business was previously owned by Mr Chris Wood and has been purchased by Mr Harry and Mrs Sandy Gill of Envisage Group Limited.
Mr Wood comments, ”After fulfilling my life’s passion for 42 years in a highly enjoyable career in Dentistry, I have decided to sell my Dental Practice to Harry and Sandy Gill, owners and co-founders of Envisage Dental. The cultural fit and unique approach taken by Envisage – in terms of keeping the identity of the practice at its core and continuing to offer the best care possible to all the practice’s patients – was very much aligned to my thinking and legacy for the practice. The team is very excited about building and growing with Envisage in the next chapter of the practice’s 65-year history. I wish them all the best for the future.”
Speaking on behalf of Envisage, Mergers and Acquisitions Director, Mr Steve Williams, comments, “The acquisition of Durban Dental underpins our long-term vision to redefine how group dentistry operates. We attract truly exceptional dental practices where both parties wish to build on the heritage of the clinic and have empowered local teams to progress the business with the support of our highly skilled teams. We have a proven track record to be able to grow our clinics and maintain that very important local culture and identity, all in line with our cultural values and patient centre purpose.”
Tom Morley, Senior Business Agent at Christie & Co, who handled the sale, comments, “It was a pleasure to act for Chris and Quintin in relation to the sale of Durban Dental and reach a successful conclusion for the business. Congratulations to Envisage for a further key acquisition demonstrating its continued appetite for quality private practices.”
The sale was supported by legal advisers, Louise Fegan at Morrisons who acted for the vendor, and Sarah Hillebron at Knights plc who acted for the buyers.
Durban Dental Centre was sold at an undisclosed price.
