Due to the spread of COVID-19, exocad GmbH has postponed its Insights 2020 event from mid-March to September 21 and 22. It will still be held at the darmstadtium in Darmstadt, Germany. According to the company, the significant increase in cases last week required a new assessment of the situation in close consultation with participating industry partners.
Also, increasing travel restrictions for various countries are making it considerably more difficult for visitors to attend the event. Within the next few weeks, exocad expects further significant restrictions and says that its decision to postpone Insights 2020 was supported by its 43 partners in organizing the event.
“The safety and health of our participants, partners, and employees is our top priority. In view of current developments and the increased spread of the coronavirus, we have decided to postpone the global event exocad Insights until September,” said Novica Savic, CCO of exocad.
Insights 2020 will offer software education, partner sessions, and international guest speakers. It will focus on exocad’s open software platform, which enables intraoral and model scanners, milling machines, 3-D printers, and DVT devices from different manufacturers to form a consistent digital workflow, the company says.
All tickets for the scheduled March event will remain valid for the new September dates.
