Advances in technology and treatment options have sparked the discussion: what does the future hold for endodontics? The American Association of Endodontists’ annual Fall Conference will expound on the future of endodontics while offering 11.5 continuing education credits.
Held at the Westin Hilton Head Island Resort & Spa in Hilton Head Island, S.C., the conference begins October 21 and consists of three half-day schedules. Speakers discussing where the endodontic specialty might be in the next five to 10 years include Drs. George A. Bruder III, Alan S. Law, Peter E. Murray, John M. Nusstein, Tom C. Pagonis, Hedley Rakusin, Christine M. Sedgley and Gurminder Sidhu.
The presenters will focus on topics such as microbial virulence, advances in canal irrigation, photodynamic disinfection, regenerative endodontics, digital imaging and cone-beam-computed tomography.
“The AAE Fall Conference will touch on the cutting–edge, innovative strategies and endodontic techniques that are emerging within the specialty,” said Dr. Clara M. Spatafore, AAE president. “It is important to stay abreast of all the new advances available to us as endodontists so that we may ensure continued improvement in patient care and maintain the highest quality in our practices.”
