National Brush Day is observed in the United States each year on November 1, the day after Halloween. Its purpose is to emphasize the significance of children’s oral health and advocate for proper tooth-brushing habits as recommended by dental experts. On this day (and every day!), parents are encouraged to ensure that their kids brush their teeth for two minutes, twice a day.
In furtherance of their mission to guarantee a healthy smile for all, the Dental Trade Alliance (DTA) Foundation has devised a National Brush Day awareness and marketing campaign. This initiative includes targeted outreach to DTA members, partners, and clinicians nationwide. The theme for 2023 encourages families to “Share Your Favorite Toothbrushing Song” that’s at least 2 minutes long, and to tag it with #NBDToothTunes. These enjoyable, kid-friendly songs will be added to the National Brush Day “Tooth Tunes” playlist on Spotify.
Families can use this playlist as a musical timer for brushing, thereby aiding in raising awareness about the importance of good oral health.
You can assist in spreading the word to families about National Brush Day by sharing these freely downloadable marketing materials. They can be disseminated via email, social media, websites, and in-office communications, among other channels.
