The San Fernando Valley Dental Society Foundation honored Patterson Dental CEO Paul Guggenheim with its Humanitarian Award at its Third Annual Gala in Los Angeles. The event also raised funds for Smiles From the Heart, Veterans’ Smile Day, and Give Kids a Smile.
“There are a significant number of people experiencing dental disease that is preventable and treatable,” said Guggenheim. “It is incumbent upon those of us in a position to help to do just that. Helping organizations reach these disadvantaged populations is part of our responsibility as members of our greater community.”
Guggenheim serves on the boards of the Children’s Dental Center of Greater Los Angeles and the University of Southern California Dental School. He also is a board member and treasurer of the National Children’s Oral Health Foundation.
