Gum disease may cause other new problems, according to a recent study.
Researchers in Taiwan concluded that there’s a correlation between and psoriasis. The research team from Taipei Medical University looked through data from 230,000 people with gum disease and determined that 54 percent were more likely to develop psoriasis during a five-year period when compared to people without gum disease.
Psoriasis is a skin condition that impacts many people. It causes the skin to be red, dry and irritated.
There have been many recent studies demonstrating a relationship between gum disease and various ensuing problems. It is for this reason that oral health is key. It leads to good overall health and prevents worrying about a wide spectrum of other health problems.
