Mr. Bergman was acknowledged for his personal commitment to diversity and inclusion, which is deeply rooted in his upbringing in South Africa during apartheid. He has actively championed diversity within the company, involving the board of directors and the executive management committee in the company’s D&I Council and with each of Henry Schein’s six Employee Resource Groups. The company has also integrated diversity and inclusion into the Team Schein values. Mr. Bergman’s thought leadership on diversity and inclusion has extended to industry events and partnerships with universities to promote a diverse healthcare workforce.
