In coordination with its Women’s Leadership Network (WLN), Henry Schein hosted the Women’s Leadership Reception at the 2018 Association of Dental Support Organizations (ADSO) Summit in Austin, Texas, in April.
The event was attended by nearly 50 women and men from various DSOs, manufacturer partners, and Team Schein to discuss women in leadership and the importance of gender diversity and inclusion.
WLN is Henry Schein’s first Employee Resource Group (ERG), which is a voluntary, employee-led network that fosters a diverse, inclusive workplace aligned with the company’s corporate charter, Team Schein values, and business goals.
WLN’s mission is to provide a forum that empowers, develops, and connects a network of women to drive business success. The group is open to all Team Schein members, regardless of gender and level, and participation is encouraged from all.
Also during the summit, Henry Schein hosted #ScheinChats, the company’s social media series available on Facebook Live. Sessions included:
- Kim Diamond, senior director of strategic account sales, Henry Schein Special Markets, and Elizabeth Rydell, DDS, chief dental officer (CDO), Midwest Dental, discuss what a CDO brings to the clinical and business side of dentistry.
- Jake Meadows, vice president of sales, Henry Schein Special Markets, and Chris Vranas, executive director, ADOS, discuss the state of DSOs and the dental profession.
