Once again, Henry Schein will take command of the Crystal Palace at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City during the Greater New York Dental Meeting, November 25 through November 30. In addition to showcasing its latest products, though, the company will be using some of those new technologies to give back to the community.
“Henry Schein is also committed to serving society, and we are pleased to host student athletes from New York City who will be receiving custom-fit mouthguards to help support their safety on the playing field,” said Tim Sullivan, president of the North American Dental Group at Henry Schein.
Representatives from the company will use the Planmeca PlanScan Scanner, 3Shape TRIOS intraoral scanner, and 3M True Definition Scanner to create the mouthguards, courtesy of GuardLab, which specializes in 3-D scanning and printing technologies for custom mouthguards. Nonprofit organizations Right to Play and Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York City also are partnering with Henry Schein for this event.
The children will receive their mouthguards from Monday, November 28 to Wednesday, November 30 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The event is designed to help enhance access to care as part of the company’s social responsibility program, Henry Schein Cares, and demonstrate the accuracy of digital scanners for creating mouthguards.
