IDS 2023 is in full swing in Cologne, Germany. The event will last through Saturday, March 18th. IDS is the leading global trade fair for the dental community, which ensures sustainable success as a platform for innovation and market trends. Our editor-in-chief, Dr. Paul Feuerstein, is getting his steps in at the show and talking to various companies about their offerings.
With the help of a crew, we were able to put together a series of videos featuring some of the most exciting innovations on display.
First, allow Dr. Paul to welcome you to day 2.
The OccluSense with Bausch
Moving on to our first showcase. Dr. Paul Feuerstein stopped by the Bausch booth at IDS 2023 to take in a demonstration of their brand new product, The OccluSense. The new system developed by Bausch combines the traditional and digital registration of the pressure distribution on occlusal surfaces. The OccluSense used in combination with the OccluSense sensors is applied exactly like conventional occlusion test foils.
The patient masticatory pressure distribution is recorded digitally in 256 pressure levels and then transmitted to the OccluSense – iPad app for further evaluation.
Recordings are stored in the patient management system of the iPad and can be reviewed or exported at any time.
Taking a Minute with NSK America
Next up, a company representative from NSK America introduces you, the viewer, to their upcoming product line to be released first in Europe and later in the US market.
High-Speed and Low-Speed with Bien-Air
Keeping up with his steps, Dr. Paul soon found himself at the Bien-Air booth. A company representative introduces us to their two new hand piece attachments. The high-speed and low-speed, both of which are highly effective and efficient. They’re exactly what you need to take care of your patients properly.
The EXPLORER CBCT with PreXion
A company representative from PreXion introduces us to their flagship product. the PreXion 3D EXPLORER. The powerful system components of the PreXion 3D EXPLORER enable an extraordinary combination of the most precise 3D imaging, large image detail, lowest radiation exposure, reliable diagnostics and digital planning for all indications in modern dentistry, including periodontology, endodontics, implantology, orthodontics, and maxillofacial surgery, among many others. Its patient management system is designed for secure and networked communication of patient data across multiple rooms within a practice and can be integrated into the existing infrastructure with ease.
This concludes day 2 of our video coverage of the many innovations on the floor at IDS 2023.
Stay tuned for day 3.
