Dr. Fischer graduated from Loma Linda University in 1974. He is a member of the ADA, International Association for Dental Research, Academy of Operative Dentists, AGD, and American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD). He was also an instructor in the restorative department at Loma Linda University and had maintained a full-time private practice for 15 years, working after hours on research and development. He is chief executive officer of Ultradent Products and is extensively involved in the research and development of many products used widely in the dental profession, with numerous US and foreign patents granted/pending. Since 1990, he has worked extensively in research and development, but still maintains a part-time practice with an emphasis on aesthetic dentistry. He currently serves as an adjunct professor at Loma Linda University and the University of Texas, San Antonio. He was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award from the AACD in 2005.
