Dr. Lisa Germain has been a dentist for over 40 years. After completing her DDS degree from the University of Maryland, she graduated from the esteemed Henry M. Goldman School of Graduate Dentistry at Boston University with a Master of Science degree and a specialty certificate in endodontics. In 1985, she achieved Diplomate status and became board certified in her specialty. Due to her desire for a more comprehensive knowledge of dentistry, she broadened her scope of practice. She completed an extensive hands-on course at the Engel Implant Institute and then enrolled in a residency program at the Misch Implant Institute to study both implantology and restorative/prosthetic dentistry. She was awarded a Fellowship of the Misch Implant Institute in 2009 as well as a Fellowship of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists the same year Dr. Germain’s unique combination of skills and experience make her a prominent world expert in the differential diagnosis and treatment of odontogenic and non-odontogenic facial pain, dental materials, and treatment planning for optimum success. Dr. Germain lectures around the world at dental meetings and in university settings on a variety of dental topics, is a member of numerous dental organizations, and is a contributing author for Dentistry Today and other dental publications. Dr. Germain is in private practice in New Orleans. She is the clinical director at DC Dental and the creator of the DC Dental webinar series, which presents AGD-approved dental CE programs bimonthly (visit dcdentalclinical.com for more information). She is also currently producing a podcast called This Old Tooth. Solo shows are geared towards patient information. Interview shows are planned to provide information and resources to both patients and dental practitioners.
