Dr. Khademi received his DDS from the University of California, while his certificate in endodontics and his MS on digital imaging are from the University of Iowa. Currently, he is in full-time private practice in Durango, Colo. He was associate clinical professor in the department of maxillofacial imaging at University of Southern California and has taught operative dentistry at Baylor College of Dentistry. Prior to this, he wrote software for laboratory automation, instrument control, and digital imaging. As a Radiological Society of North America member for more than 20 years, his background in medical radiology allows him a perspective shared by very few dental professionals. He has worked with the ADA and American Academy of Endodontists (AAE) in standards development efforts for computers in dentistry that have ushered in this new era of clinical computer use, including lasers, new instrumentation and preparation techniques, and new obturation techniques and technology. He has authored several articles and book sections, as well as a chapter on endodontic access. Dr. Khademi has been a regular speaker at the ADA, AAE, and several other international dental meetings, as well as given dozens of half- and all-day continuing education courses on computers, endodontics, and cone beam computed tomography.
