Dr. Silverstein maintains a private practice at Kennestone Periodontics in Marietta, Ga. He is an associate clinical professor of periodontics at the Georgia Health Sciences University in Augusta, Ga. He holds Fellowships in the Pierre Fauchard Academy, both the American and International Colleges of Dentists, and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. Dr. Silverstein is privileged to be on the contributing editorial boards of Practical Periodontics and Aesthetic Dentistry, Compendium, Dentistry Today, Journal of Oral Implantology, Collaborative Dental Techniques, Inside Dentistry, Functional Esthetics and Restorative Dentistry, and AGD Scientific Magazine. Contributing to the literature with more than 120 scientific articles published in refereed journals, he has also been a contributing editor to numerous textbooks, authoring 8 textbook chapters. Dr. Silverstein is the author of the highly acclaimed textbook entitled Principles of Dental Suturing: A Complete Guide to Surgical Closure and has just completed his new book entitled Principles of Soft Tissue Surgery: A Complete Step-by-Step Procedural Guide. Both textbooks have been peer-reviewed and have the ADA CERP certification. The newest textbook is entitled Principles of Hard Tissue Regeneration and Implant Therapy Surgery: A Complete Step-by-Step Procedural Guide. He lectures internationally on the topics of periodontal plastic surgery, dental implantology, hard- and soft-tissue regenerative surgical techniques, and oral medicine.
