Sonendo, manufacturer of the GentleWave System, was named the Best Healthcare Company last month during the 2017 OCTANe High Tech Innovation Awards. Presented by OCTANe, a technology and life science accelerator organization in Orange County, Calif, the awards honor companies based in the county that have demonstrated exceptional leadership while developing technological advances in their industry.

During the October 12 ceremony in Newport Beach, Calif, OCTANe presented 11 High Tech Innovation Awards to companies demonstrating innovation in software, digital strategy, devices and hardware, community engagement, healthcare, medical technology, digital communications, intelligent data analytics, horizontal disruption, intrapreneurship, and corporate culture. Winners were selected by a panel of 12 independent judges.
The members of OCTANe represent technology executive leaders, entrepreneurs, investors, venture capitalists, academicians, and strategic advisors. The organization has helped more than 800 companies via its LaunchPad small business development center accelerator. LaunchPad companies have received more than $2.1 billion in investment and equity exits. OCTANe annually welcomes more than 7,000 people to its programs and events.
