It’s never too late to see the orthodontist nowadays.

Patients visiting the orthodontist are becoming increasingly older, based on some studies.

Many of these older patients are seeing the orthodontist to prevent their teeth from shifting. Their teeth are fitted for a retainer, enabling them to maintain their current position. The retainer is worn at night.

The new technology available is also making orthodontic treatment more appealing. Clear braces are appealing to everyone, even people in their 50s and older.

These days, wearing braces is more socially acceptable than it was for people in earlier generations. With so many options available in that regard, age is not hindering someone from wanting or needing straighter teeth.
