OSAP, the Organization for Safety, Asepsis, and Prevention is accepting scholarship applications for the 2022 Anna Nelson, CDA, RDA, MA Scholarship. The scholarship was established in memory of Ms. Nelson, a leader in dental assisting and infection control who passionately advocated to advance dental assistants’ understanding of, and compliance with, the guidelines, regulations, and best practices to prevent disease transmission in dental settings.
The scholarship is for practicing dental assistants and provides 25% off the early-bird member rate for the 2022 OSAP Dental Infection Control Boot Camp and one free year of OSAP Premium Membership (total value $226). Dental assistants can find additional application requirements here.
Applications are due for the Anna Nelson scholarship on October 29, 2021 and the recipients will be announced on November 5, 2021.
The 2022 OSAP Dental Infection Control Boot Camp is a fast-paced, foundational-level educational course presented by national and international experts in dental infection prevention and patient safety. This year, attendees can participate by joining OSAP in person in Atlanta, GA, or by purchasing the on-demand recordings. Participants will leave this course with an understanding of relevant infection control laws, regulations, guidelines, standards, and best practices. They will also leave with practical tips on how to implement them in their practice setting.
