ANNAPOLIS, MD — September 24, 2012 — The Organization for Safety, Asepsis and Prevention (OSAP) is getting a little help from its friends in the continuing fight for infection prevention. During the month of October, Patterson Dental and 11 infection control product companies are teaming to raise funds for OSAP in a special cause-related marketing campaign, “Support the Fight for Infection Prevention.”
The campaign is designed to increase OSAP’s visibility throughout the dental profession and to call attention to the key infection control brands that are donating a portion of their sales to OSAP. Patterson Dental is featuring the project as a four-page spread in the center of its 2012 Patterson Infection Control/Glove Handcare Guide. During October, 5% of the proceeds from products featured in the campaign section, which is framed with the OSAP green band and logo, will be donated to the OSAP Foundation. The funds will be used for educational and enrichment programs provided by the foundation.
“We want to thank Patterson Dental for generously donating the space and spearheading this initiative, and of course, thank you to our corporate members for their donations,” said Therese Long, OSAP executive director. “We encourage all our members to get the word out and encourage their colleagues and peers to support this important campaign that will help OSAP continue our fight for infection prevention.”
Companies participating in the campaign are Crosstex, Hu-Friedy, SciCan, Sultan Healthcare, TotalCare, Certol, Harry Bosworth Company, Miele, Palmero, ProEdge Dental and Sterisil.
