The Apixia Phosphor Plates are designed to provide diagnostic imaging and high-level detail. They come with a plastic scratch plate protector and can be used with other PSP model scanners from Apixia with top or drum loading design. Also, the company says, these plates won’t break your budget.
“Our value pricing is due to economies of scale, overseas production with strict quality control, and low overhead,” said Peter Chen, DDS, director of digital imaging at Apixia, Inc.
The plates come in standard zero, 1, 2, and 3 sizes, which match regular traditional film sizes, for typical intraoral x-ray images. Their high-definition imaging is comparable to all leading plates on the market, according to Apixia. They are crafted to be flexible, comfortable, and durable as well.
“The plates are designed to be last thousands of times theoretically,” said Dr. Chen. “They are comparable to what is out currently in the marketplace.”
