Planet DDS, a leading provider of cloud-based dental software, announced that Gary Rizo has joined the company as VP of infrastructure.
Rizo is a seasoned technology leader with more than 20 years of experience in startup and enterprise organizations. He joins Planet DDS from Spireon, where he served as SVP of engineering. In that role, he led a 120+ global engineering team, and was responsible for all web and mobile app development and delivery. During his tenure, he built and operated highly scalable enterprise-level SaaS applications across IoT. He also has experience in eCommerce from his time at iherb and performance marketing products at Lifescript.
In his new role, Rizo reports to Planet DDS chief technology officer, Angelina Hendricks, and will be responsible for driving the corporate and product cloud infrastructure, security and compliance for Planet DDS, leading the company’s long-term technology strategy and translating IT capabilities into strategic business decisions.
He will build a service-oriented, customer-focused infrastructure and ensure the reliability, scalability, security, and maturity of Planet DDS’s systems to support the company’s rapid growth.
