The compact Apex ID apex locator from Kerr Endodontics features a customizable “zero point” based on the user’s clinical judgement. It also provides an audible signal that lets users know when they have reached that preferred zero point, so there is no need to constantly monitor the visual display. It’s designed to work in almost any canal condition—dry, wet, bleeding, or filled with saline, ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid, sodium hypochlorite, or chlorhexidine—and produce accurate, consistent, and dependable readings. And unlike most apex locators on the market, Kerr reports, Apex ID continuously calibrates for accurate, uninterrupted readings in real time.
